Allergen skin testing and spirometry (lung function testing) may be performed as part of your evaluation and the results can be obtained during the same office visit. Serves as our medical director of the Allergy & Asthma Centers and is actively engaged in local & national media. Dr. Kim has been featured on WebMD, Good Housekeeping, Woman’s Day, Fox News, Huffington Post as well as Disney on various allergy topics. He is a member of 2021 US Precision Advisory Board on Asthma. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, he has completed additional years of residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and allergy, asthma and immunology. Dr. Andrew Kim also has been recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine and by Northern Virginia Magazine. Dr. Kim is board certified by The American Board of Allergy & Immunology and The American Board of Internal Medicine.

A native of Northern Virginia, received his medical degree from West Virginia University. Upon completion of a 4 year dual residency program in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, Dr. Butt spent 2 additional years training in an allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of South Florida. During his fellowship, he was actively involved in numerous research projects, some of which included advancements in the treatment of asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, and chronic hives. Dr. Butt has presented several of his publications at national, as well as international scientific conferences. He serves as a medical advisor for the Allergy & Asthma Network and is an assistant clinical professor at Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Butt also has been recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine. He is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Received her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to complete a 3 year Pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She remained in Cleveland to complete an additional 2 years in the Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During her fellowship, she participated in research projects to advance the knowledge of drug allergy, examined the association of skin testing with inhalant allergies and the use of social media in the management of immunodeficiency. At the Cleveland Clinic, she also worked on creating a basic immunology curriculum for the fellows and quality improvement projects for drug allergy and patient safety. Dr. Cooper has presented at several national Allergy and Immunology conferences and has also been recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology.

Received his medical degree from Florida State University. Afterward, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the prestigious institution of Brown University. Dr. Virani spent 2 additional years training in an allergy and immunology fellowship at Boston University, prior to settling in the Virginia area. He has an active interest in becoming involved in the local community and looks forward to providing continuity of care for generations to come. He has presented several publications nationally at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Dr. Virani has particular interests and expertise in treating eosinophilic esophagitis and drug allergies. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants with an active license through the Virginia Board of Medicine. Prior to becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner, Leslie completed a Trauma/Emergency Medicine fellowship and became a certified public health nurse. She was honored with service excellence awards throughout her 25-year career by both INOVA Health System and Sibley-Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, Leslie utilizes her experience and education to expertly advocate on behalf of her patients through a holistic approach. Leslie enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, and dancing.
